Centurion's commitment is to promptly assess a loan request and subsequently fund approved loans quickly. As lenders, not brokers, the decision on loan submittals is made in-house. And if the loan does not meet our criteria, with your permission, we may be able to assist by referring the loan within our network of lenders.

Created in 2004 to deliver high-touch lending services, we provide financing for projects up to $200+ million. The Centurion team, starting with the creators Tom Hazelrigg, Scott Switzer, Eric deGooyer, and Danielle Smith, understands real estate development and has the ability to provide creative financing options to put together deals that work. Our experience and available capital enable us to quickly make decisions on your project, particularly important with challenging and time-critical projects.

Executive Profiles

Tom Hazelrigg

Tom offers his lenders and borrowers expertise gained through his years of experience in property development and loan management. He has created or consulted on the creation of several large-scale hard-money lenders including Avatar Financial Group and Washington First International Bank's hard-money lending division (WF Capital) as well as Pacific Coast Investment Company. Every loan Tom has ever made has been collected in full, thanks to his experience and sound judgment. He has a BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Scott Switzer

Scott brings solid accounting and management experience to his position as co-managing partner of Centurion Financial Group. Prior to creating Centurion, he was Executive Vice President of Happy Guests International, Inc., responsible for finance and operations of a successful seafood restaurant chain employing over 850 people. He has over ten years of public accounting experience with Coopers and Lybrand and as a partner in a CPA firm. Scott holds a BA in Business Administration and Bachelor of Accounting degrees from Washington State University and attended the University of Heidelberg in Germany as a Rotary Scholar in 1975-6.

Jon Eric deGooyer

Eric's shrewd judgment, honed over years of experience in property development and loan management, helps Centurion's lenders and borrowers know exactly what to expect from their deals. His experience working with Tom Hazlerigg in judgment collection builds on his extensive background in real estate financing to deliver great results to all clients. Eric attended Stanford University from 1963 through 1968 majoring in Business Management.

Joseph Kimm Jr.

Joe provides traditional lending services to our clients through Centurion Finance. Active in lending and finance since 1970, he was most recently Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where he oversaw all business throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska and managed the production of over two billion dollars in new business. Joe holds a BA in Economics from the University of Washington.

Danielle Smith

Danielle works with Centurion's clients to assure satisfaction for all parties. She has been with Centurion since its founding in 2004, and manages all aspects of client accounts from billing to explaining each step of the loan process. Ms. Smith received a Bachelor's degree in E-Commerce and Information Systems from the Albers School of Business at Seattle University where she was also on the Dean's List for academic achievement. She has served on the Academic Affairs Committee at Seattle University. Ms. Smith is on the corporate gifts committee for the Performing Arts Center Eastside, and is a dedicated fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. Ms. Smith is an active parishioner and volunteers as a religious-education teacher for St. Jude Parish in Redmond. Traveling, snow skiing, and horseback riding are her leisure time passions.

Denise Tallman

Denise has worked in the loan processing field since 1989, when she started with Cascade Mortgage Company. Most recently, she was Assistant Vice President of Capmark Financial, Inc., where she developed and implemented processing and closing procedures for a growing office.

Patricia Nelson

Before joining the Centurion team, Patti worked the previous ten years for an international high-tech company as a certified software manager responsible for legal compliance, negotiation and administration of multi-million dollar software contracts. Her prior work experience includes establishing and managing a property management company in Sun Valley, Idaho, and working in the engineering and construction management industry, responsible for all phases of office administration including document preparation, bookkeeping and payroll.

Ken Vogt

Ken has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience with major northwest financial institutions. For the last 10 years he was employed by Key Bank and assisted their real estate auditors and compliance officers, as well as upper management, in managing a multi-billion dollar commercial and residential real estate loan portfolio. He is currently helping manage Centurion's various lines as well as overseeing their reporting and compliance needs. Ken has a BS degree in Finance and Real Estate from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Centurion Investments originates and underwrites developer loans, specializing in short-term real estate secured loans that need to close quickly. Additionally, we provide extensive business, estate and tax planning advice to our clients free of charge. We help clients manage the complexities of large estates in conjunction with their other professionals to maximize rates of return and minimize tax liability. Centurion's experience and expertise supplement our clients' attorneys and accountants to optimize planning. The Centurion team works closely with lenders and borrowers to deliver fast, profitable results for all parties. Quick, accurate loan review and funding create demand among borrowers and attention among lenders.

Centurion Finance offers traditional loan packages of five million dollars and up to borrowers with more conventional needs. Centurion Finance is staffed by a team of experienced professionals, skilled in all phases of commercial real estate financing and dedicated to providing clients with the best possible service. We will package your loan and find the best local or national lender through our network of over 20 lending sources.

Centurion Properties owns, develops and manages office buildings in New Mexico. Aaron Hazelrigg oversees all aspects of operations and brings a firm grasp of property development issues to Centurion.
